What is the difference between SCADA and HMI?

This WinCC SCADA training course  has been designed to give engineers an insight into the configuration and operation of the Windows PC based Siemens WinCC SCADA software. The course will guide students through the basic design and configuration of the SCADA systems through to the operation and communications integration into the PLC control system.

Where possible, application specific exercises, actual drawings and plant projects will be used to allow the students to gain the greatest possible benefit from this course

Objectives

  • To introduce students to the concepts and operation of Siemens WinCC programming and runtime software.
  • To be able to understand the structure of the SCADA project within the WinCC programming software.
  • To be able to use the WinCC SCADA programming software to create and develop a project and to be able to modify existing WinCC SCADA projects.
  • To be able to restore a WinCC SCADA project backup into the Siemens SCADA PC.
